You may have noticed that lately I have been posting pics of outfits. There are 2 reasons.
1. Alot of plus sized women feel like they have to spend a whole lot of money on clothes and I know better. So I'm posting the pics along with a price and the names of the store I shop at.
2. There is a misconception that certain stores are not for "big girls". I am a size 18/20 and I shop at alot of "skinny" stores. Charlotte Russe, Bloom, Forever 21, H&M, the Gap are just a few. It depends on what the item is, how you want it to fit, what it's made from, and your proportions. Don't be intimidated by going into skinny stores. I shop alone (without a skinny friend in sight) most times. Sometimes I get crazy looks but for the most part they don't pay attention to me and I don't pay attention the their skinny asses. Just get comfortable in that lovely plump flesh of your's and other people will be comfortable with you too!

Being honest about who I am
After trying for a few years of my life to be what other people suggested i be i have finally accepted that I am an artist. I've also accepted that it is not a glamorous job. It doesn't pay a whole lot of money but I will tell you that it makes me very happy. It's freeing and I feel like I have found my place in the world. Everything that surrounds me is art so why shouldn't I embrace it. I pray that my journey is smooth and that I find what I am looking for in my work. Poetry, painting, braiding hair.... Here I am.
